Major trade fair events (BolognaFiere)

This month, the BolognaFiere exhibition center is hosting events of international and industry-wide significance:

Cersaie 2026: September 21–25, 2026. The renowned International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings is moving its usual dates forward for this special edition. Admission is free, with mandatory online registration.

Cultural and musical events

The cultural calendar heats up in the second half of the month with outstanding musical events set in evocative historical venues:

• Respighi Festival Bologna 2026: September 21 – October 21, 2026. The festival's fifth edition opens late in the month, celebrating the works of Ottorino Respighi. Among the first scheduled dates:
  
  • September 25, 2026 (8:30 PM): Concert by the Orchestra del Baraccano at the Teatro del Baraccano.
• Candlelight Concerts at the Oratorio di San Filippo Neri: Musical performances illuminated by thousands of candles, creating an intimate atmosphere:
  
  • September 20, 2026 (5:30 PM): Tribute to Ennio Morricone and film scores.
  • September 20, 2026 (9:30 PM): Special concert marking the 25th anniversary of *The Lord of the Rings*.
